Description
This particular name that represents this ancient marriage ring for man is due to the granular ”bugnata” decoration on the band mounting, similar to the leguminous ”cicerchia”.
Stylistic origin of this model is due to Byzantine models, still Adriatic, that was point of privileged business, before Bisanzio and Venice. Symbolically, gold wires represent as many Christian virtues as the mounting shows.
Other similar models are in Sardegna and in Grossetano zone, because shepherd from Abruzzo and Sardegna used to stop in Maremma Toscana as ”butteri”.
